Mobile apps
How mobile apps work here
Your mobile app is your web app, wrapped in a native shell with Capacitor. There is no second codebase to maintain: fix a bug once and it is fixed on the website, on iOS and on Android.
What that means in practice
- Build the web app mobile-first — that IS the app's interface.
- The Preview tab shows it in a real iPhone or Android frame, and the preview is faithful because the app renders the very same pages.
- The app opens on your app entry (usually
/login), not the marketing landing page.
Where things live
A Mobile app tab appears in the sidebar once a Capacitor wrapper exists. It has Build and Store listing. The preview stays in the Preview tab so there is only ever one.
Why builds run on GitHub
Compiling Android needs the Android SDK; iOS needs macOS. Our servers have neither, and renting a Mac is expensive. GitHub Actions provides both free, so builds run there. That is why GitHub must be connected before you can build.
